Welcome to
www.WorcesterTourismAssociation.co.uk

The WTA is a membership association based in the city of Worcester, Worcestershire, UK.

It is made up of locally based retailers, hotels, tourist attractions, organisations, and event planners. with the intention of helping, supporting and encouraging tourism in the city of Worcester.

W.T.A. Annual General Meeting was held at Whitehouse hotel on Wednesday 21st April and was attended by twenty members and guests. We were entertained with a wine taste by the very knowledgeable Nick Baxter from Worcester Wines who took us through a sampling and “call my bluff” competition with three wines. Many thanks to Nick and he has indicated that he wants to become a member of the W.T.A. after meeting and “socialising with so many nice people”!  The business side of the evening then was undertaken and members had a chance to talk briefly about their businesses and organisations that they represented. The evening ended with a buffet kindly supplied by Rachel from the Whitehouse Hotel.
Many thanks to everyone concerned.   Worcester Wine Co Ltdwww.theworcesterwinecompany.co.uk, 118 Bromwich Road

A MESSAGE FROM THE CHAIRMAN.
At the AGM held on Wednesday 21st April at the Whitehouse Hotel, several members voiced concerns regarding the recently introduced - BID scheme in Worcester.
Consequently, I have contacted Adrian Field - the person who leads the project.  He has agreed to meet with the members for a question and answer session and presentation.

This will be an 'open meeting' for all members at 4.00pm on Wednesday 19th May 2010 - at the Whitehouse Hotel, Worcester.

We don't promise we can change anything - BUT - please come along and put forward your views - for and against - this might be your only opportunity so please come along.

Miriam Harvey
